ICT & Creativity at ICT-2015

At the already mentioned ICT 2015 event, which was held on 20-22 October 2015 in Lisbon, Portugal there was a number of creativity related events organized within the conference. Most importantly, there was a plenary session on the second conference day:

  • Wednesday 21/10/2015, 14:50 - 16:20 : Driving Innovation through Creativity and the Arts

and a parallel session:

  • Wednesday 21/10/2015, 16:40 - 18:10 : The innovation revolution: Creativity & Arts in ICT

Other computational creativity events were organized as Networking sessions. The following sessions were organized:

  • Tuesday 20/10/2015, 16:50 - 17:35 : Creative Industries & ICT - A Forum to Outline the Future Roadmap
  • Wednesday 21/10/2015, 9:00 - 9:45 : Empowering creativity through ICT in an innovation network

And there was a thematic session on the H2020 calls related to creativity and ICT:

  • Thursday 22/10/2015, 09:00 - 09:45 : Creative Industries, Media & Convergence (covering calls ICT-19-2017, ICT-21-2016 and ICT-36-2016)

In summary, the computational creativity research and other research in the intersection of ICT and creativity is blooming, and its importance is being recognized also by the European Commission, which will be funding projects also through the 2016-2017 ICT calls that have been recently announced by the European Commission.
